C & M A Child Protection Social Work Service for Pre-primary Institutions (CW/S/I3)

Introduction to our Social Work Services for Pre-Primary Institutions:

Our organisation was established in 1983 with the mission to care for the holistic development of young children and strengthen family systems. Since 2011, we have been providing on-site social worker/counsellor services to 6 of our affiliated nursery schools. In 2019, we were appointed by the Social Welfare Department to operate the "Pilot Scheme on Social Work Services for Pre-primary Institutions", serving 8 kindergartens/preschools. With the formal implementation of this service in 2024, our organisation was selected by the Social Welfare Department as the "District-based Social Work Team" for the Southern District of Hong Kong Island, providing stationed social work services to 18 pre-primary institutions.

Service Mission:

With the spirit of Christ’s love — spreading the Gospel, caring for the whole person, serving the community — we bring together professional knowledge and an open attitude to create a respectful and loving environment for young children, working hand-in-hand with parents to prepare them for optimal growth.

Service Objectives:

• Early identification and provision of assistance to pre-primary children and their families who have welfare needs.
• Assist young children who experience educational, social, behavioral and emotional difficulties.
• Assist parents with needs in improving their parenting skills and family relationships to foster harmony in their family.

Professional Team

• Experienced in school-based services.
• Completed courses in play therapy/family therapy.
• Familiarity with the needs of supporting children with SEN and their parents.

Office Hour

Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm (Lunch time is from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.)
